Liz Fairweather (she/her),
Program Committee

FNP-DNP Candidate, OHSU School of Nursing

I’m Liz Fairweather, and I am in the Family Nurse Practitioner doctoral program on the Ashland OHSU campus. The IHI and quality improvement are exciting to me because by improving healthcare we can enable more people to have a foundation of health upon which they can pursue what’s most important to them. Furthermore, I’d like to address the unsustainable and burdensome costs of medicine and chronic conditions on our country, communities and families. Some fun facts about me are that I am obsessed with cats, microgreens, board games and almost all forms of exercise.

Elaine Huynh (she/her),
Program Committee
BS in Community Health Promotion Candidate. OHSU-PSU SPH

My quality improvement interests lie in health equity, cultural competency/cultural humility, and cross-cultural communication to address as well as understand health issues in underserved communities. I am excited to be a part of IHI to meet different people across various fields of health and engage in meaningful conversation. Being a part of this community can help me explore possible career fields within public health that I may be drawn to. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new food and drink spots around the Portland area. A fun fact about me is that I collect stickers to use when I bullet journal!
